Job Description:
As an Electronics Repair Technician, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, overhaul, calibrating and repair of technically moderately complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic avionics instruments using available documentation, repair manuals, schematic diagrams, technical publications, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
Essential Functions:
Technician is responsible testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating avionics electronics
You will work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, schematics and/or test procedures Diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of test equipment
Document test findings and diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of test equipment
Provides input for process improvements and development of top-level test procedures.
Ensure we have correct functionality of units under test and test equipment.
Working knowledge of statistical process control as applied to related assembly, inspection and test processes
Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, schematics and/or test procedures
Diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of test equipment
Utilize methodical and logical reasoning processes to resolve complex technical issues
Identify any discrepancies within testing.
Collaborate with all functional groups on various projects.
Maintain accurate records, fill out logs accurately, and explain defects found-clearly and concisely
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
AA Degree in electronics or equivalent technical degree preferred
Working knowledge of MS Office
Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope.
Experience with environmental testing and monitoring of product
Working knowledge of statistical process control as applied to related assembly, inspection, and test processes
Working knowledge of electronic Theory relating to circuits, analog and digital circuitry.
The ability to troubleshoot RF/Digital circuits to the component level.
Understanding and able to perform calibration of equipment calibration procedures.
Must have working knowledge of electronic test equipment.
Advanced experience with Test equipment, i.e., signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers.
Advanced ability to read and understand schematic diagrams to solve complex technical problems, analyze faulty circuits
Ability to maintain electronic technician product failure database.
The candidate must have working knowledge of electronic test equipment, I.E. Spectrum Analyzers, coaxial cable measurement, emulators
Advanced experience with Test equipment, i.e., signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers.
