Administrative Assistant
This position provides administrative support to the Lower Coosa River system, which includes Lay, Mitchell, Bouldin, and Jordan dams. Responsibilities include general administrative support including, but not limited to the following:
Coordinate travel arrangements
Perform timekeeping and process employee expense reports for covered and non-covered personnel (STARS & iExpense Oracle Cloud)
Actively support community activities
Schedule and coordinate logistics for meetings and plant-wide events
Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
Maintain departmental record retention
Backup support for other Administrative Support Specialists
Purchase departmental and plant gift cards, safety gifts, and coordinate service awards and retirement events
Serve as grievance coordinator
Prepare weekly on-call schedule
Schedule and organize plant tours
Job Experience & Education :
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Five years administrative experience is preferred (including conference, travel and meeting arrangements, report preparation and calendar management)
SHIPS, PeopleSoft, or other people management software experience is preferred
Accounts Payable experience is preferred
Experience with timekeeping systems is preferred
Experience working with union employees in a plant environment is highly desirable
Extensive computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required
