Description: As a manufacturing engineer, you will play a key role in producing and maintaining technical documentation for Lockheed Martin. These documents include standard operating procedures, maintenance procedures for electronic and mechanical support equipment, and work instructions ensuring that they comply with technical specifications and fit the user's needs. The documents detail processes and products involved in performing specific maintenance or military tasks. Manufacturing engineers are the cornerstone between mechanical, electrical, industrial, and systems engineers and the field personnel, operations, safety, logistics, and mechanics using our documentation.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will use problem solving skills to assess dynamic operational and technical changes for Technical Documentation which includes Ordnance Documents (OD), Ordnance Pamphlets (OP), Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP), and Work Instructions (WI).
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
- You will multitask to problem solve and provide solutions to a variety of technical problems while following and maintaining requirements ensuring soundness of technical judgement and overall accuracy.
- You will ensure proposed and approved changes are captured in all related technical documents, performing technical review of documentation against source data as well as providing procedural support for SWS facility documentation proofing and activation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and PDF editing tools
- Strong writing skills, able to communicate technical direction in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to travel occasionally
Desired Skills:
- Experience with interactive electronic technical manual (IETMs)
- Knowledge of XML and basic structured markup languages
- Attention to detail
- Time management and scheduling
- Ability to review drawings, assess requirements, prioritize tasks, and facilitate efficient customer communication

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
