The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a National Entertainment & Influencers Marketing Lead, Talent Relations in Los Angeles, CA or New York City, NY. This position can be home-based within California or New York.

The Lead is responsible for marketing and communications strategy development, planning, consultation and execution for the Association's Entertainment and Influencer Marketing Initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Leads Entertainment Talent/Celebrity specialty within Entertainment practice, developing and implementing organization-wide strategy

  • Identifies and cultivates on-going, Association-wide relationships with celebrity influencers to drive Association relevancy as a derivative of established strategy, and in support of various key portfolio initiatives (Go Red for Women, Life is Why, Nation of Lifesavers, Total Health & Well-Being, etc.)

  • Establishes and develops brand-building partnerships within the Digital Entertainment, Entertainment and/or Sports industries

  • Manage celebrity talent relationships (Susan Lucci, Angela Bassett, etc.) and corresponding partner accounts (Rogers & Cowan/PMK), as assigned, and support other specialties within Entertainment practice

  • Tracks and reports performance metrics to measure achievement and success of Entertainment Talent/Celebrity specialty at-large

  • Supports refinement of entertainment talent/celebrity vetting process to ensure appropriate alignment/fit with Association's brand

  • Help establish standard methodologies across Association for talent procurement and relationship management

  • Keeps abreast of emerging trends, technologies and talent

  • Up to 50% travel

Qualifications

  • Five (5) to eight (8) years of the following experience:

  • Ability to develop and set successful strategies, garnering senior leader buy-in, strategies that deliver on project goals

  • Proven track record of creating and executing marketing and communications campaigns using tactics that include live events, marketing, traditional media, social media and more.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and project deadlines with the ability to pivot and problem-solve.

  • A strong team player who is comfortable and motivated working in a collaborative environment, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Experience in public health or non-profit services

Compensation & Benefits

Expected pay range will be $95,000 to $130,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or
