JMT's Hunt Valley Surveys & SUE Team is seeking part-time as needed LiDAR Technicians. The successful candidates will be responsible for LiDAR data extraction and associated processes related to data extraction. Sponsorship is not available for this position. As a condition of employment, hire will be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Proof of vaccination will need to be submitted as part of the interview/hiring process.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Follow direction from professional staff to provide assistance on project work
LiDAR extraction
Required SkillsRequired Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Related experience
Skills in the manipulation and/or extraction from LiDAR point clouds
Familiarity of field surveying techniques, including data collection, traverse adjustments, GPS surveys, and construction stakeouts.
Familiarity with third party software for data reduction and drafting, including MicroStation & AutoCAD, TopoDOT, 3DR
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment 80% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
