Materials Analyst (Plant Vogtle 3&4)
Summary
This position is responsible for performing inventory management and analysis functions. The position will be interfacing with Construction, Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to identify materials needed to support construction completion and subsequent operations. Other job responsibilities include but not limited to: generating item numbers and supporting customers with purchase request generation, material reorder, monitoring plant equipment for offsite and onsite repairs, material constraints, shelf life, obsolescence, utility sales, part 21 reviews, and other appropriate inventory management functions. This position will serve in the on-call rotation for Supply Chain and reports to the Vogtle 3&4 Sourcing Manager.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor degree preferred
High School diploma is required
Work Experience
Strong knowledge of Capital and O&M budgets and financial valuations especially in relation to Materials Management and Materials Accounting preferred
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred
Nuclear construction or commercial nuclear power plant experience highly preferred
Working knowledge of Supply Chain policies, procedures, practices, and quality assurance requirements required
General knowledge of plant systems and plant design preferred
Solid working knowledge of ATV and/or ES Maximo tool highly desired
Extensive use of Microsoft Office Suite preferred
General knowledge of warehouse operations preferred
General knowledge of Work Management and Planning processes
Leadership Requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to ensure customers' needs for spare and replacement parts are clearly understood and factored into stocking decisions
Strong demonstrated leadership skills
Leadership/analytical skills are required to analyze current inventory and Supply Chain data, accumulated plant knowledge, and current plant conditions to make recommendations on optimum Supply Chain contributions to support construction completion and startup operations
Job Responsibilities
Assist with inventory adjustment reviews and approval
Assist department with account number review for material transactions
Utilize Materials Accounting processes in administration of the retirement unit program for nuclear on behalf of the owners, ensuring compliance with all accounting rules relating to capital replacements
Interfacing with departments to identify and procure materials to resolve constraints
Provide customer support for new item generation, purchase requests, purchase orders, and desktop requisitions as needed
Support the corrective action programs as needed, CAP coordinator, part 21 notices, resolving condition reports and technical evaluations, and Operating experience review
Administer programs dealing with inventory management including repair process, returns, shelf life, SOX audits, ABC Audits, NEIL insurance reviews, reorder, deficient work order reports, inventory audit functions, obsolescence, spot checks, utility sales, investment recovery disposition, MDC impact reviews, and other appropriate inventory management functions
