APS-03: Warehouse Specialist

The Warehouse Specialist will:
Must be willing and able to drive government vehicle on and offsite
Learn and comply with all regulations/requirements at APS-3
Complete all required training promptly
Perform a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents.
Note and report discrepancies and obvious damages.
Route materials to prescribed storage locations.
Store, stack, or place materials on pallets, in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.
Examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage.
Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
Operate hand or power tools in performing warehousing duties.
Identify items required per load, inventory and account for required quantities and take appropriate action to prepare items for loading.
Comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Normal work week is 40 hours (10 hour days, Mon-Thur) With the possibility of Overtime.
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE ROLE. NO PER DIEM, NO UPLIFT, NO RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
2+ years' of related experience
Must either possess or be able to obtain an Active Secret Security Clearance issued by the U.S. Government and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Must have a High School diploma.
Must be familiar with staging and placing materials on a pallet for loading into containers.
Must possess a valid State Driver's License.
Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access.
Ability to walk and stand regularly
Ability to work outdoors in the heat and cold
Ability to work overtime as required by production schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
The confidence to provide guidance to groups of people
Significant supply work experience to include inventory tracking, storage management, and supply transactions; ideally 2+ years
Ability to problem solve, interpret inventory reports, correct document errors, and apply attention to detail to ensure consistently accurate transactions and records
Strong computer skills to include proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Working knowledge of GCSS-Army is a plus
Working knowledge of Army class of supply system and National Stock numbers (NSS/NIIN) is a plus
