Responsibilities
This position is responsible for overall account management within assigned and emerging pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical companies nationally resulting in achievement of revenue goal and company engagement across AHA. Additionally, this person will serve as the AHA field's main point of contact relating to pharmaceutical needs and engagement guidelines. The ability to build relationships, with both internal and external parties and understand organizational priorities in line with AHA's mission is critical to success. This candidate will be able to work with their assigned organizations to understand their strategic priorities, pipeline, budget, and uncover and translate opportunities for engagement.
Essential Job Duties
Primary AHA contact for assigned pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical companies
Triage new opportunities within National Corporate Relations
Serve as liaison with AHA field relating to pharmaceutical needs
Meet with assigned companies to develop a pathway for AHA engagement to ultimately drive revenue toward our mission with an account management approach
Build relationships at all levels for long term engagement with AHA
Review and give feedback on, field CRRC submissions relating to pharmaceutical engagements
Work across internal departments to develop solutions and work toward our mission that meets the needs and budget of the funder
Write concept notes and proposals for funders
Lead meetings with companies and develop agendas for discussions
Attend and meet with funders at key Scientific Conferences, at least two conferences per year
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Five (5) years of successful sales experience, and account management, with proven history of success. Health care sales experience is a plus
Five (5) years of experience in negotiation and solution oriented problem-solving
Demonstrated ability to consult and interact internally across a large matrixed organization
Previous strategic, and long-term account management experience
Must be able to travel at least 50% of time, including overnight stays
