The Role: Xylem is seeking an experienced professional with an Engineering or Supply Chain background to join the Manufacturing Excellence team within the Integrated Supply Chain function. This individual will support our manufacturing network optimization projects globally, with significant emphasis on Americas and Emerging Markets.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Supports in developing and continuously refining our 5 year global manufacturing strategy, specifically focused on our manufacturing and distribution network/footprint.

  • Develops detailed understanding of the network projects in region and ensures the strategic objectives meet those of the overall organization. Facilitates in ensuring established guidelines are followed to ensure thorough analysis and flawless execution.

  • Works closely with the regional manufacturing excellence leaders to understand current business challenges, product roadmaps and long-range plans to ensure the manufacturing and distribution network is supportive of those goals.

  • Leads the analysis of the regional network, identifying opportunities through a multi-criteria funnel, and develop associated business cases.

  • Facilitate and conduct holistic Make vs Buy and Core vs Non-Core analysis for various processes/commodities.

  • Collaborates with various cross-functional teams in building detailed execution plans for large-scale network projects, identifying risks and associated mitigation plans.

  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university is required, master's degree preferred.

  • Background in Engineering, Supply Chain or Finance.

  • Minimum of 5 years in various operations roles is preferred.

  • Ability to work across regions and functions, having a working-knowledge of various operations related roles.

  • Strong analytical skillset and ability to comfortably work with plant-level and regional financials.

  • Willingness to spend time on manufacturing floor, deep dive into processes and apply problem solving skills.

  • Comfortable working with various functions, across business, regions and time-zones.

  • Desire and ability to learn new tools, techniques with a strong sense of drive and ownership.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proactive approach to problem solving, able to actively showcase critical thinking.

  • Enjoys working collaboratively, can both lead and take direction.
