This unique role plays a pivotal part in the executation of all HR activities across the engineering function deploying HR strategies that impact a population of ~8,000 engineers that are geographically dispersed across a matrix organization. This role leads process excellence across the HR team and partners with engineering leaders across all functional disciplines to support the talent strategies and objectives of the organization.
This role oversees all HR special projects/teams that are aligned to the engineering objectives. The HR partner will work with HR COE's and services to transform the HR delivery model for the engineering population. Including DEI strategies, compensation and staffing industry trends, organizational design, workforce planning, and HR common work. The team of HR business partners report and work closely with the Lead HRBP for common work and process excellence.
Essential Functions:
Help translate strategy into concrete work plans to accomplish desired objectives
Initiate, direct, and implement a broad range of special projects and key strategic initiatives across HR
Partners with senior client group leaders to design organizational structure, job roles, and talent management processes to drive business unit performance
This role provides top tier support to leadership by delivering critical strategy, framework, governance, and org design initiatives
Drive culture by building, implementing, and managing a robust internal HR engineering employee engagement plan
Build and manage budget models accounting for spend amount, timing, resourcing, savings, and ROI. Managing escalations, including raising to Sr. Leadership when applicable
Managing stakeholders as well as vendor relationships and contracts
Communicating effectively to executive team
Partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence to strategically implement initiatives to drive business strategy and improve organizational capability.
Analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for continuous improvement.
Participate and/or lead projects and special initiatives within and outside the HR function as assigned.
Build and utilize relationships with functional HRBPs to influence business priorities within the functions.
Utilize trends and analytics to provide proactive recommendations and propose solutions to enable sound talent decisions and initiatives.
Respond to data requests for program, division, and sector reviews regarding staffing, diversity, and attrition.
Identify and diagnose issues in order to develop, recommend, and implement root cause solutions that enhance employee engagement/experience.
Work with business leaders to develop and implement effective employee engagement solutions.
Qualifications:
Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area. May have in-depth knowledge of project management. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Experience driving HR strategy in the following areas: performance management, employee engagement and retention, staffing, compensation, diversity/inclusion, leadership coaching and development and succession planning.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience influencing, coaching, and consulting with all levels of the organization in a positive and effective manner.
Project management experience leading projects and utilizing HR metrics and analytics to make recommendations and inform talent decisions.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $82,500- $153,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
