Job Description

Communication Services [CMS] is an internal event management and marketing service function. A CMS Event Management & Marketing Services Professional is an event specialist with expertise and experience in virtual/hybrid/live programs and event marketing. Services are available to internal business units within the Siemens North America portfolio. Event management and marketing services include but are not limited to event strategy development, management, design, logistics, operations, on-site execution, and event promotion & marketing support.

What are my Responsibilities?

  • Proficient programming, operation, and management of digital event platforms [i.e. ON24, Teams LIVE, etc]

  • Manage and execute trade show ['fair'] program elements: booth space procurement, booth layout development, complex product demonstration set-up, show services selection, labor, exhibit shipping and receiving, lead generation campaigns, and financial management

  • Successfully lead planning efforts for internal/external meetings including: site selection, group housing, speaker placement, sponsorship activation, entertainment, dcor, transportation, venue logistics, on-site operations, and food & beverage planning

  • Project management capabilities including ability to lead internal cross-functional work streams, manage external preferred suppliers, proactively address/solve challenges, and ensure successful project completion

  • Demonstrate and deliver service excellence across all functions and operations

  • Direct programs and budgets up to $2m, including program changes, expense tracking, and final billing closeout, while adhering to Siemens financial/accounting/transactions processes and policies

  • Manage multiple program elements in various planning stages, and efficiently meet project deadlines and time constraints, including the ability to work under pressure

  • Offer consultation services using industry insights and best practices

  • Acute understanding and experience in business development processes [i.e. sales funnel] including lead generation and nurturing the customer's journey

  • Provide accurate and effective metrics reporting (including use of key performance indicators) to illustrate program and/or service ROI

  • Effectively manage the services provided in compliance with approved external suppliers

  • Provide optimal brand governance and influence brand guiding principles

  • Innovate across the service function that contributes to the digital transformation process

  • Complete mandatory training and compliance activities as required

  • Travel up to 50% annually. Including weekend and extended daily hours as applicable

  • Ability and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, time-constrained schedules and priorities

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • BA in Communications/Marketing/Event Management/Hospitality or related field

  • Minimum 4 years' experience successfully planning, directing, producing and executing virtual events, trade shows, corporate meetings, and customer events

  • This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless you are granted a medical or religious exemption.

  • Proven communication skills with a demonstrated ability to research, analyze, plan, and execute in the areas of: virtual/hybrid/live event management, program coordination, and effective communications

  • Business development and/or sales experience [B2B, B2C] desired

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Customer service orientation

  • Collaborate effectively across global workstreams

  • Self-driven with minimum required management supervision

  • Ability to evaluate effectiveness of service offerings and proactively adjust to exceed Global Business Services standards

  • Fluency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Active engagement across social media platforms, Salesforce, digital collaboration resources, etc

  • CMP and/or CTSE - preferred

  • Prefer B2B, matrix organizational structure familiarity

TRAVEL/WORK LOCATION:

  • Domestic travel up to 50%

  • No relocation assistance available

  • Orlando, Fl., or Atlanta, Ga, based preferred [not required]
