Title:
Lead Developer
KBR is seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer and Software Engineer to support the Joint Technical Data Integration (JTDI) program and In-Service Engineering team. As the JTDI Lead Developer, you will report directly to the In-Service Engineering team lead. You will play a critical role in leading the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will also be expected to design and develop high-quality software applications. You must possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Candidates will be expected to contribute to deliverables. You may be expected to communicate with stakeholders, vendors, and customers. Lastly, KBR is seeking an individual that can display a willingness and ability to adapt within the organization, recognize and implement process improvements, and one that can seize opportunities to improve products and services.This position requires the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance. This position offers a flexible remote working environment.
Responsibilities:
Technical lead for team of software engineers and developers
Write, code, and debug software applications for clients
Perform validation, testing, and code reviews for applications
Cross-collaborate with different functional area teams and vendors to fix technical issues
Support integration efforts and handoff of applications to the Sustainment team
Technical documentation such as Requirements Analysis Documents (RAD) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
Contribute to and improve documentation, configuration standards, and policies and procedures
Leverage the NAVAIR National Help Desk system to track and document support requests from customers and team members
Perform day-to-day sustainment duties as requested
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Security Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain a Top Secret with T5 background investigation.
Education: Bachelor of Science or Arts (in lieu of a degree, 13 years of experience is required)
Experience: 7+ years of experience in a software developer capacity to include...
Web Development (7 years overall) with: .NET web application development, React, Responsive web design (RWD)
Front End Technologies (7 years overall) with: CSS, JQuery, Javascript
Back End Technologies (5 years overall) with: C#, Java, SQL Server Database Design
Database and Infrastructure (1-3 years overall) with: Docker containers, REST and API design
Other Technologies (1 year overall) with: Workflow Engine, Mobile development
Preferred Experience but not required:
Cloud computing
PowerShell and Python scripting and automation
Liferay and Angular JS web development platforms
.NET console application development
