Located approximately 25 miles northeast of Nashville, TN. California Industrial Products (CIP) is a $100M business unit in ITW's Automotive segment. CIP specializes in the design and manufacturing of stamped fasteners and related products. ITW CIP fasteners can be found on vehicle platforms around the world securing fenders, bumpers, chassis assemblies, doors, interior components and much more.
2nd or 3rd Shift
SUMMARY
Operates multiple machines to sort product meeting customer requirements. Ensures product is free of mixtures and defects by performing the following duties
Sorting ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
. Starts machine and performs daily checks to detect malfunctions of machine. Reports malfunction to supervisor.
. Performs daily preventive maintenance and simple setups to ensure good operation of machines.
. Perform red rabbits (Camera Verification) after each machine changeover
. Label finished goods
. Prepares product to ship free of mixtures and product defects
. Weigh and check finished goods
. Maintains a safe, clean/sanitized and organized work environment always.
. Performance to comply with all company Procedures, Policies, Work Instructions, knowledge of internal and external requirements as well as TS16949, ISO 17025 and OSHAS 18001 requirements.
. Assist in making improvements to the overall business using ITW operating principles.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school education or GED: Manufacturing experience or training a plus.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
