KBR is seeking a Supervisor for its SEC Reporting Group to assist primarily in the coordination and preparation of the company's SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) and ensure compliance with SEC reporting regulations. This individual will also lead and participate in various business process improvement initiatives to drive value within the organization and periodically support the Consolidations process. The position will report to the Senior Manager of SEC Reporting.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Support the Company's SEC reporting function including the timely preparation of financial statements, financial footnote disclosures, MD&A, disclosure checklists, and supporting workpaper and tie-outs. Also includes researching and drafting footnote disclosures.
Collaborate and coordinate with the various groups and stakeholders, including Business Unit leaders, Finance, Tax, Investor Relations, FP&A, etc., to obtain the necessary information needed to draft the appropriate disclosures in the company's SEC filings.
Support the earnings release process, including review and tie-out of press releases and earnings presentations.
Support the consolidations process, including the review of balance sheet rollforwards used within the Company's SEC filings.
Work closely with external auditors to manage the financial quarterly review and annual audit process, which includes addressing external auditor's comments on the Company's SEC filings.
Assist with tie out of the annual proxy statement.
Review XBRL data within Workiva for the Company's financial statements and footnote disclosures.
Participate in various business process improvement initiatives such as e xpediting/streamlining a current business process by utilizing automation tools (e.g. - Wdata within Workiva).
Other special projects as they arise.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or equivalent
Experience :
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience required, with at least 2 years of Big Four experience on a public company client strongly preferred
Soft skills:
Strong attention to planning and organization with a demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional team members at all levels of management
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
