The Role at a glance:
We are looking for an accomplished and forward-thinking Bilingual (ability to read, write and converse in Spanish) HR Coordinator for our K-12 Segment working 100% onsite. This a fantastic opportunity for a self-driven HR Professional looking to help a maturing organization through some very key HR Initiatives. Reporting directly to the HR Segment Leader, you can look forward to collaborating and supporting business leaders and team members across the segment. As a partner to the business you will provide ethical HR advice and council to coach, navigate and resolve employee relation issues. You'll need to be strategic and organized in nature as the HR Coordinator will also drive assigned HR projects. If this sounds like you, we'd love to have you apply!
What you'll be doing:
Partner with Human Resources to support leaders, team members and key stakeholders to provide key HR advice and counsel to coach, navigate and resolve employee relation issues.
Work with leadership team in identifying root causes of issues and opportunities to mitigate risks and drive outcomes.
Recognize potential employee relations matters and reports to HR leader; may support investigations end to end.
Identify opportunities for leadership and field staff training.
Work closely with operators to align thinking, deliver solutions and optimize processes.
Establishes and maintain relationships of trust to foster transparency, open and honest two-way communication and collaboration.
Organize and drive assigned projects.
Champion HR programs, practices and policies with the overall objective of maintaining and nurturing a strong, people focused culture.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
Bilingual - Ability to read and write both English and Spanish
Must be local.
Ability to travel locally up to 25% as this is multi-site commitment.
Ability to be on-site 5 days/week (120 Broadway New York NY, 10271).
Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources.
Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Nice-to-haves:
HR Certification such as SPHR, PHR
BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience; a plus.
Experience supporting the Contract Services or the Food Service Management Industries
Compensation:
The annual salary range is $65-70k, dependent on experience.
