Position Summary:
The Operations Engineer - Deltar Fasteners will report to the Technical Engineering Manager - Deltar Fasteners and will be responsible to coordinate, execute, and troubleshoot projects to achieve and maintain operational excellence: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards. Collaborates with cross-functional teams on tasks associated with facility operations including mechanical, structural, environmental, and electrical systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identifies operational problems by observing and studying the function and performance of systems.
Anticipates operational problems by reviewing operating targets, modes of operation, and unit limitations.
Confers with management, engineering support, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, facility limitations and improvements, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Investigates complaints and suggestions by interviewing process supervisors and operators and actively identifies opportunities for Continuous Improvements.
Actively engages in troubleshooting and problem resolution at all levels of the operation.
Follows through with projects from conception to successful implementation.
Must be able to communicate with all levels of facility personnel and outside vendors.
Must expect a small amount of travel.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree coupled with experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in related field or its equivalent
Knowledge and understanding of automation systems preferred
Familiarity with the injection molding process acquired through hands-on applications
Must have a mindset/focus dealing with high-speed automated inline manufacturing targeting zero ppm
Exposure to, and basic understanding of, facility systems is preferred
Machining / metal fabrication skills are preferred
2D / 3D CAD skills are preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
