Serco supports the United States Air Force and is looking for a Specification Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to provide support for the Technical Manual Specifications and Standards (TMSS) and support requirements for obtaining items that provide support to AF technical orders (TOs) and technical manuals (TMs) and specifications. This environment will provide you with an excellent opportunity to hone your existing skills and learn new ones in support of this project.
You will be part of a multi-functional team in the Life Cycle Management Center, which is comprised of managers, other SMEs, business analysts, cybersecurity professionals, system users and their representatives, and others. Our team has been recognized by the US Air Force as providing top quality services in support of the customers.
In this role as a Specification Analyst / Business Systems Analyst, you will:
Provide subject matter expertise in analysis and update of assigned USAF Technical Manual Specifications and Standards (TMSS) for aircraft systems in accordance with DoDM 4120.24 and MIL-STD-9XX series references.
Apply technical writing skills to updates of TMSS source files in Standard General Markup Language (SGML) using Arbortext Editor.
Perform detailed analysis of technical manual architecture, including structure, style, and format that complies with TMSS requirements and/or commercial standards, e.g., ASD S1000D, as required.
Provide customer service outreach through the SGML support Helpdesk, assisting both military and industry users with application of TMSS.
Qualifications
To be successful in this Specification Analyst / Business Systems Analyst role, you will have:
High School Diploma/GED
NACI
An understanding of Air Force Technical Manual Specifications and Standards.
The ability to translate technical specifications into functional requirements.
To possess excellent technical writing skills and be able to communicate clearly via written communications.
A proven ability to function in a team environment.
Additional desired experience and skills:
Five to seven years of relevant work experience in activities relating to AF Technical Orders, technical writing, or aircraft maintenance is highly desired.
Experience in TO acquisition preferred.
Knowledge of S1000D is desired.
