Our films offer unparalleled performance in demanding construction, packaging, print media and other strength and specialty film applications. Valron Strength Films has production facilities in Houston, Texas and Essen, Belgium along with a sales office in Shanghai, China.

The manufacturing engineer Intern will work closely with our Maintenance Team and our Process Engineer in a variety of projects including revising and editing technical drawings, assisting with the implementation of Maintenance systems, and supporting continuous improvement in our Manufacturing process. This is a 10-weeks summer internship program schedule from May - August 2022/

  • Work in close collaboration with our Maintenance Team and our Manufacturing Engineer.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of our Total Preventive Maintenance System

  • Document and reorganize engineering drawings for plant equipment and machinery

  • Develop new engineer drawings as required

  • Analysis of Plant Maintenance Data.

  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year engineering program, preferably as a rising junior or

  • Senior Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Major Preferred

  • Proven experience in AutoCAD editing and producing technical drawings'

  • Ability to work 40hrs per week at our plant located in Northwest Houston, TX

  • Self-motivated with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
