Waste Connections has an immediate opening for an Equipment Operator at our Orland, FL (Taft Recycling) location. In this position you will be operating our Dozers, Forklifts, Loader or Baler, also along with trucks and smaller equipment.
Monday - Saturday, Day Shift working 10 to 11 hours days. On top of competitive pay, we offer family benefits, 401k, vacation, and year-round OT.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Pushing recyclables onto an incline belt
Loading recycle materials in a hopper
Loading, dump trucks, open-top trailers, pushing up piles of yard debris, rubble
Responsible for equipment inspection
Assisting customers and employees as needed
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience in operating front-end loaders (other heavy equipment is a plus!)
Ability to be self-directed as well as work in a team environment
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
