Cracker Barrel is seeking a Sr. QA Analyst to join the Home Office to support our store Systems. This partner will be responsible for leading IT development projects through Cracker Barrel's IT project management process and providing QA expertise across the entire SDLC. Duties will also include designing, developing, and executing software test plans for Cracker Barrel's Point of Sale systems, back office systems, home office systems, and documenting testing results.
Makes recommendations for application enhancements, product solutions, or data configuration changes that support company standards and end-user requirements.
Evaluates, tests and validates IT Systems and/or software. Assesses all levels of functionality, integration and performance to ensure they meet Requirements/Acceptance Criteria and Quality standards.
Attends/participates in project planning meetings. Write test cases. Tracks defects in designated system. Work with and answer questions for Analyst I and II on possible defects.
Work with developers to trouble shoot and resolve complex issues when found in Production.
Develops a Test Plan for large more complex projects.
Lead internal and external IT project teams through completion of the project from initiation through implementation. Remove any project related roadblocks identified by the team as required. Gather project requirements, deliverables and manage deadlines based on business need. As well as clarify any ambiguity until it is understood by the project team. Maintains ownership of the backlog of features and bugs intended for current and future releases. Serve as the Store Systems business analyst on project teams by assisting business partners with successful outcomes by using strong facilitation, communication and analytical skills. Ensure IT goals and Business goals are aligned to support a quality business deliverable.
Analyze, evaluate and prepare recommendations of data management to support the business need. Participates in project team meetings and serves as a system expert for IT. Responsible for identifying all levels of testing required on assigned projects including, but not limited to Functional, Integration, System, Regression and Performance by analyzing business, functional and non-functional requirements as well as utilizing existing system knowledge. Create and maintain test strategies and test plans reflecting those identified tests. Execute manual and automated test plans. Document and manage resolution of software (and/or related data) inconsistencies, defects and bugs found throughout the project.
Ensure solutions meet company standards and meets end-user requirements by working closely with development teams and project stakeholders. Escalate issues and participate in mitigating risk. Participate and support implementation of a formal test framework. Communicates operational requirements and priorities to IT leadership. Analyze and facilitate issue resolution for more complex incidents reported by Store Support Help Desk or other corporate departments. Creates, schedules and executes implementation plans to release software or new hardware in a controlled manner. Assists with Store System preparation for major Operational events such as production planner changes, porch sale, minimum wage changes, open enrollment and various surveys.
Validates implementation success. Ensure application updates are communicated. Provides training of changes to key stakeholders throughout the organization.

Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, business, or related field or equivalent work experience in information services.
5-7 year's experience in software testing and software support
