We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Aide which is needed to fulfill requirements for program designs and to fabricate equipment that will be used in the development and manufacture of tactical hardware. What You Will Be Doing
As the Electro-Mechanical Engineering Aide, you will impact everything from fabricating electronic, and electro-mechanical assemblies (and subassemblies) to engineering drawings. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Fabrication will include the ability to place and solder components on circuit cards and subassemblies. The fabrication of wiring harnesses will require connector pinning and de-pinning, and applying mounting hardware.
In addition, these lower-level assemblies are to be built up into single, or multi-bay cabinet assemblies, for delivery to Engineering or Manufacturing Production areas.
This position will provide the opportunity for the candidate to work as individual contributor, in a team environment.
This would include collaborating with Engineers, and other members of the Fabrication team including other Fabricators, Draftsmen, Procurement, and Quality Inspectors.
Daily activity would include not only a fast-paced fabrication environment, but it would also include using several computer-based programs that will update job status, Quality Inspections, and Engineering changes.

Basic Qualifications:
3 years of experience (may be in other fabrication environments including cable and harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design product).
Must have Prior Certification in solder and harness capability to MIL-STD requirements.
Ability to fabricate electrical and mechanical test equipment designs from a blueprint of the layout, schematic, bill of material, and engineering practices manual as guidelines.
Ability to communicate issues with the design and or the process requirements to management and or design engineers.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
Knowledge of fault isolation for electromechanical components
Knowledge of concepts for hardware repair.
Experience with CCA component rework and repair
Rework experience with cable build assemblies and electrical maintenance and rework
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
