Summary
Lead the Operations Innovation team, which includes Testing and Continuous Improvement. Build and implement the Innovation strategic roadmap, budgets, resources and deliverables for department and key MOD projects. Leverage knowledge of the larger MOD landscape to keep all projects aligned to the company strategic objectives and priorities. Responsible for tracking project and program health against strategic roadmap, identifying project risk and resolving issues as they arise. Helps define the most appropriate process to be used for the project based on size, complexity or cost. Ensures that project requirements and scope are clearly identified and managed, and project quality is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Leads company innovation work, partnering directly with operations, culinary and store development
Ensures that equipment and store format innovation supports effective operations workflow and adjacencies
Pushing the customized fast casual pizza forward - representing MODs place in the industry
Develops Innovation Roadmap
Provide oversight and leadership to the Continuous improvement and Testing team
Leads MOD testing protocol and approach
Partner with cross functional teams in both field operations and the support center to identify continuous Improvement project needs and oversee execution of identified projects.
Coordinates internal resources and third parties / vendors for the execution of assigned projects
Direct team to proactively to identify dependencies and manage cross-team collaboration to keep projects on schedule
Integrates process improvement approach into Operations Excellence organization.
Drive collaboration and alignment with teams across various disciplines including Operations, Store Development, IT and Digital
Develop and implement post implementation measurement and process improvement system for projects that have been introduced to the field
Lead strategic and tactical planning discussions
Audit completed projects to verify sustained impact
Basic Qualifications
8+ years' experience project management (PMP) or equivalent.
People Development and Operations experience at multiple levels
Project management qualifications (PMP) or equivalent. Actively working toward PMP will be considered with sufficient demonstrated experience.
Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written abilities
Proficiency with related tools including MS Office and MS Project
Broad knowledge and understanding of the business processes within a restaurant, retail or hospitality company
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills required to present department plans and activities to individuals and groups throughout the company
Preferred Qualifications
Broad awareness and understanding of the typical technology footprint within a retail or hospitality environment (Telecommunications, Point of Sale (POS) and Payment Systems, WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi Networks and Restaurant I.T. Hardware, etc.)
LEAN Six Sigma
Experience as a Business Analyst is a plus
Physical Requirements
Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
