We are seeking an Facilities Engineer to join the team at our Culpeper, VA site.
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Facilities , this position will support Facilies Projects.This position would be 1st shift. 6:00 am - 3:30 pm 9/80 schedule.
This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.

Essential Functions
Under minimal supervision, conceives and plans a variety of complex facilities engineering projects, providing technical advice on feasibility, planning, costs, and time requirements. Coordinate, manage, follow-up and close-out capital projects. Acts as a technical adviser and expert on building HVAC system design, control systems, operations, and maintenance. Ensures that work performed by the Company's personnel or contractors conforms to national, state and local laws, regulations and codes.
25% - Coordinate preparation of project drawings, specifications and scope-of-work
25% - Estimate project costs and/or prepare capital expenditure requests
25% - Prepare purchase requisitions for respective projects, track project costs, track project progress, conduct status and follow-up meetings, and other administrative matters
25% - Construction inspection for required conformance
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in Construction Management , Civil Engineering or other appropriate discipline. With two (2 years) experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficient with AutoCAD
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills
Strong verbal, written and presentation communications skills
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Driver's License Requirement: Employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid driver's license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the Company. Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
