Bank Marketing team is the growth engine for the USAA Federal Savings Bank and we passionately market all of our products (credit cards, deposits, consumer loans, and mortgages) to both our members and prospects. We are experts in digital marketing channels and direct mail, and we believe in making data driven investment decisions.

This role is responsible for building a compliant and scalable affiliate program for USAA Federal Savings Bank. Able to frame a strategy based on performance metrics, implement the strategy through publishing partners, and dissect campaigns' performance using data and analysis.

Provides executive oversight of customer acquisition strategy across all bank products, implementation of marketing campaigns, and data-driven investment decisions. Nurtures vital agency and publisher relationships. Interprets data to validate investment decisions and ensures ROI goals are achieved. Identifies and evaluates KPIs for each product and provides concrete recommendations both in terms of investment and UX opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

  • Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.

  • Provides executive level leadership in the development of go-to-market, execution plans, and affiliate channel marketing support plans.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert in understanding, collecting and coordinating affiliate channel marketing requirements.

  • Accountable for monitoring results via business plan assessment and utilization of channel optimization monitoring tools through implementing changes to plans to drive desired results.

  • Identifies new/emerging channels, resources and intermediaries and develops integrated strategies, plans and programs to leverage these opportunities.

  • Provides consultation and decision-making support for the development and implementation of new affiliate channel management and optimization capabilities necessary to measure performance, test and learn and drive digital marketing insights.

  • Leads Agile Marketing Scrum Masters and aligns with Bank CMO to prioritize efforts and align resources across enablement and execution priorities.

  • Researches and keeps abreast of new and emerging industry technologies that can affect the application of channel management and optimization approaches.

  • Builds and oversees a team of employees for assigned functional area through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching and support, performance management, and managerial activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 10 years of experience in marketing, developing strategies, managing major initiatives, and delivering results within a complex matrix environment.

  • 4 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams.

  • Advanced experience with omnichannel marketing and optimizing in an agile environment.

  • Extensive experience using data and metrics to measure impact and resolve improvements.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of industry-related risk management and compliance framework and guidelines.

  • Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic goals.

  • Executive-level business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience building the affiliate channels for banking products

  • Partner management experience

  • Technical expertise in affiliate marketing

Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $155,400.00-207,200.00-279,800.00.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executive level roles only, representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based.
