The Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) is looking for an exceptional Senior Security PM (Program Manager) Manager to help lead the Security Vulnerability Response and Release team. In this role, you'll be responsible for routinely making decisions that protect our over 1 billion in customers worldwide and ensuring the security of their products and their online experience. You'll lead a team that manages potential threats and vulnerabilities for Microsoft products, devices, and our online services, as well as outreach to the security research community. You will work closely with customers, senior leaders from all products and services across Microsoft, and with security researchers across the globe to act as well as gather and share information to minimize threats against our customers. You will lead some of the most dedicated, innovative, and experienced security PMs to focus on the highest impact actions to protect our customers and our services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support growth of a team of talented Security Program Managers

  • Partner with cross-functional teams within and outside of MSRC to drive strategic initiatives and programs

  • Help define the roadmap and long-term strategy of the team

  • Build strong partnership and influence product and engineering teams across Microsoft to raise the bar in security and to protect our customers

  • Define and drive key team metrics and measure of success

  • Hiring and attracting the best Security Program Management talent

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in technical program management on cybersecurity or related software development field

  • 2+ years of people management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security research, bug bounty programs and vulnerability management

  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

  • Strong domain knowledge on security vulnerabilities and security incidents

  • Proven ability to drive strategic change across teams

  • Experience making risk management decisions while maintaining a positive cross-group relationship

  • Executive-level verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience collaborating with Microsoft customers, industry leaders, and the vulnerability research community is a plus

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
