Position summary: Responsible for performing traffic counts at a designated area and preparing plans from the provided engineering sketches and details for projects. Sponsorship is not provided for this position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Travel to designated location
Set up traffic counting device
Monitor the traffic counting device to ensure proper functionality
Return equipment to office
Transfer engineering sketches and details to plans utilizing AutoCAD or Microstation
Makes basic engineering computations and prepares and revises specifications.
Make quality control corrections to contract drawings
Prepare exhibits for reports, public meetings or presentations
Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities
Required SkillsRequired Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Microstation
Knowledge of design and drafting procedures
Ability to read and decipher maps
Active driver's license to travel to the designated job site locations
Qualifications Preferred
Technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting

Working Conditions
Work is performed both within a general office environment, as well as outside. T he incumbent may be subjected to heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
