Title:
Senior Modeling & Simulation Analyst
KBR is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Analyst to perform modeling, simulation, and analysis of current and future Air Force systems at the engineering, platform, mission, and campaign levels in support of capability development, system prototyping, mission engineering, performance analysis, system validation and verification, and concept trade studies. This role will support the MS&A efforts across multiple projects for customers that include the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
Duties
Executing software models to perform Monte Carlo simulations of various blue and red aircraft systems and related architectures to evaluate system performance and inform future system design
Developing and maintaining custom built analysis software and scenarios, and integrate with commercial tools
Teaming with customers to define analytical needs, develop study schedule, and present results to inform architecture and budget decisions
Working with system subject matter experts to accurately model system and environment behaviors
Helping implement Digital Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering practices
Perform scientific and technical analysis of aircraft systems to produce engineering-level models of system performance.
Integrate individual system models into larger scenarios within simulation frameworks including the Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment (ITASE), Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM), or Next-Generation Threat System (NGTS).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience
5+ years of related work experience involving engineering, subsystem, system, campaign or theater level MS&A development, integration, test, and/or analysis
Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance is required
Experience with mature and comprehensive modeling and simulation environments (e.g. AFSIM)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related STEM degree
Secret and Top Secret security clearance
Enterprise level or System of Systems mission performance modeling and simulation experience including data analysis
Experience with Python PySim library, PowerBI and/or Tableau data visualization
Experience using MATLAB/Simulink and/or C++
Experience with aerospace systems, and subsystems, autonomous systems, mission engineering, and DoD aircraft simulation
