CACI is seeking a seasoned Battle Simulations Lead (BSL) who will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a Battle Simulations Center, and all associated systems. As the Battle Simulations Lead, you will provide automated exercise support to the US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE) and other training events that require simulation of C4IM training system across the ICoE training/mission systems architecture. The BSL will lead a team in preparing and maintaining Modeling, Simulation, and Exercise Support. The BSL will shape our technical workforce, build our technical capabilities, drive technical insertion, improve program performance, and establish our team as the premier solution leader for our customers. Further, the BSL be responsible to the PM for overall team performance and management of essential activities for the successful execution of CACI's responsibilities in meeting the requirements of the program. The interdependent nature of these requirements demands an experienced and certified IT leader with relevant and recent experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the ICoE Battle Simulations Center and all systems therein

  • Provide automated and White Cell scripting Exercise Support to ICoE courses and training events requiring simulation of C4IM training systems across the ICoE training/mission systems architecture

  • Draft and maintain documents related to Modeling, Simulation, and Exercise Support including, but not limited to; procedures, plans, Operations Orders (OPORDs), Operations Plans (OPLANs), -Road-to War- documents, Master Scenario Events Lists (MSELs), Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Plans, Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) documentation, simulation -Probability of Hit/Probability of Kill- (PH/PK) ratio tables, descriptive documents and best business practices, as missions and exercises require

  • Perform research, analysis, liaison, monitoring, and documentation of exercise functions, solution sets, and all other events pertaining to exercise operations

  • Provide IT and computing services for Pre-Exercise Preparation, Exercise Execution, and Post-Exercise related hardware and software

  • Coordinating and performing hardware and software changes, expansions, upgrades, and maintenance on the current and future system network architectures, including but not limited to: established best business practices, procedures, guidelines, polices and regulations

  • Communicate and engage across multiple constituencies (both on program and key stakeholders) in a way that influences service outcomes and steers toward change objectives

  • Work closely with functional leads and their staff to develop, refine, and implement processes, policies, and procedures to yield consistent, high-quality results across the organization

  • Align roles and responsibilities for complex, highly integrated work streams

  • Manage program personnel across multiple locations

  • Recommend innovative, practical, and timely options for solutions that clearly delineate benefits/trade-offs to users and stakeholders

  • Work with team to analyze program processes to determine gaps and identify technology enabled solutions to close gaps

  • Think outside the box to develop new ideas, concepts, and solutions to meet new requirements, unarticulated needs or existing needs

  • Think freely to exploit technological advances that address business needs, without the constraint of former approaches

Required Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) plus years of Army Battle Simulations environments, specifically within the Training Operations Management Activity (TOMA) domain.

  • Experience delivering constructive battle simulations into the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A).

  • Experience operating battle simulations systems on classified networks at the Secret and Top Secret/SCI levels

  • TS/SCI eligible

  • Extensive experience with modern and legacy Army and Joint battle simulations systems to include: WARSIM, WIM, JCATS, IEWTPT, MUSE, META-VR software, and Common Ground Station and JSTARS simulations

  • Experience with the JLCCTC and its federation of LVC simulations systems, and the Joint Training Environment (JTE)

  • Familiarity with the Army's Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE) scenario

  • Extensive experience with High level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulations Protocol Data Unit (DIS PDU) protocols and functionality

  • Ability to interact effectively across all organizational boundaries and with key customer stakeholders

  • Experience leading personnel with an emphasis on providing a culture of inclusiveness, independent thought, consistent communication, and mentorship

  • Demonstrated experience providing day-to-day management of a program, and developing long-term, strategic objectives to ensure that end user requirements will be satisfied

  • IAT Level II certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$99,000 - $217,700
