The Senior Manager, Physical Security will advance physical security programs and build a culture of safety and security that will be instrumental in mitigating physical security risks across our portfolio of corporate facilities. As part of Global Security & Resilience, you will inform, shape and build enterprise physical security efforts, working closely with colleagues in Supply Chain Security, Business Continuity, Global intelligence, and Physical Security. You will ensure physical security programs meet the needs of Starbucks Partners through the practice of applying controls based on assessment of risk and be a key point of contact for stakeholders to ensure their needs are being met where they are.

A senior manager, Physical Security, you will...

  • Identify and address the most critical physical security threats to Starbucks Partners, at Starbucks facilities

  • Integrate physical security as part of Starbucks Enterprise Risk Management framework, develop and monitor same

  • Provide strategic direction on evolving physical security and safety issues

  • You will partner with stakeholders to assess physical security risks and implement appropriate physical security at Starbucks events globally

  • Work with other relevant internal stakeholders to identify and address physical security needs

  • Manage vendors to assist Starbucks with global physical security needs

  • You will help us source and implement necessary technology tools

  • Communicate and inform relevant stakeholders

  • Help manage the physical security operating budget and related programs

  • Evaluate process, tools, and resources to act as advocate to address gaps or shortfalls to improve resilience.

  • Translate vision into team goals

  • Develop and monitor department budget, work with business unit and cross-functionally to secure funding

  • Guide and influence alignment of cross-functional business teams

  • Help recruit, onboard, train, develop and retain partners.

  • Provide transparent, real-time feedback on partner performance (both opportunities and successes)

We'd love to hear from people with:

  • 5+ years managing corporate security programs, or related safety and security experience

  • 5+ years of leading project teams and/or colleagues supporting large and multi-national programs.

  • Excellent planning and project management skills

  • Knowledge of global corporate security standards, policies, metrics and best practices

  • Experience in service provider and supplier selection, contracting and external vendor management

  • 3+ years of management of direct reports

  • Significant communication and presentation skills, from briefings to visual storytelling

  • Notable connectivity to industry professional associations and benchmarking groups
