JMT's Hunt Valley, MD office is seeking a technician to be responsible for preparing plans in MicroStation from provided engineering sketches and details for projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Transfer engineering sketches and details to plans using MicroStation
Perform 3-Dimensional CAD
Perform basic computations
Make quality control corrections to contract drawings
Prepare exhibits for reports, public meetings or presentations

Required Skills
Ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
5-10 years of relevant experience in CADD and 3-Dimensional design
Proficient in MicroStation
Knowledge of drafting standards and procedures
Experience working on MDOT (MDSHA, MDTA, etc.) projects
Technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting preferred
Experience working on Bridge projects preferred
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment most of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
