Pricing Analyst
Description
This position is a hybrid position with a majority of work being performed remotely while having the ability to come into the office as business needs necessitate.
This position is responsible for designing, analyzing, attaining necessary approvals for, and supporting the implementation of customer pricing initiatives that strengthen the goals of the Company. This position will report to the Team Leader of Pricing Design. This full-time position will have a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities of this position
Summarize large data sets and utility concepts. Present results in emails, formal communications, white papers and management presentations for internal and external use
Analyze innovative price design initiatives that provide flexible options for customers while maintaining appropriate cost recovery for the Company. Analysis requires use of computer programs, particularly Excel
Support the design of the company strategies and initiatives, presenting proposals and analyses to internal management
Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Metering, Power Delivery, Public Relations, and other operating companies to support the implementation of customer price options
Proactively manage internal and/or external questions or inquiries regarding customer price offerings and programs
Manage the development of automated technology solutions that will maximize the efficiency of our business

Education
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting or related field is preferred
MBA is desirable
Experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Demonstrated ability to apply out of the box problem solving and strategic thinking skills to issues with no clear solution
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities effectively
Strong abilities in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel models combining utilization of advanced features and best practices, exposure to Excel VBA and computer programming is a plus
Strong analytical, quantitative and communication skills
Understanding of Company pricing (rates and rate riders), customer billing and financial goals is a plus
Familiarity with some of the following concepts and utility functions is a plus: exposure to development of utility rate design, marginal or embedded pricing, customer program pricing, regulatory filings, billing analysis, utility industry economics, rate structures, statistics, research techniques or marketing fundamentals
