Vogtle 3&4 Site Licensing Manager
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Day to day management and oversight of the site licensing organization
Supports the Site Regulatory Affairs Manager in advising Plant Management on site-specific NRC licensing and compliance issues.
Directs preparation of Licensee Event Reports, NRC notifications and NRC correspondence
Supports site organizations regarding licensing basis compliance questions and determinations, including construction, testing, and operations.
Directs preparation of licensing changes needed to support construction, testing, and operations.
Understands the regulatory/licensing basis of the plant
Interfaces with the NRC Site Resident Inspectors, Regional Management and Headquarters Management.
Leads the site through NRC inspections to assure the plant is adequately prepared. In this capacity, the incumbent will need to be proficient with NRC inspection procedures, enforcement procedures, and significance determination process (SDP) procedures.
Job Experience and Education
Accredited engineering degree or related technica deree is required.
Previous work experience at an Operating Nuclear Power Plant performing Licensing duties is desired.
Previous experience managing a team of employees is highly desired.
Previous SRO licensing or certification is highly desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of nuclear power plant design and systems is desired.
Working knowledge of industry codes and standards and associated NRC regulations, is desired.
Working knowledge of design and licensing basis for nuclear plants is desired.
Working knowledge of 10 CFR Part 50 and 52 licensing is required.
Ability to represent SNC at NRC and industry meetings is desired.
Strong technical writing skills preferred.
Ability to maintain attention to details in written and spoken communication is required.
Ability to communicate well, to make presentations to senior SNC management, and to build trusting relationships with the Site NRC Resident and NRC Inspectors.
