Job Description:
Bank of America's Quantitative Finance Group is seeking a Quantitative Finance Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
The team member will be responsible for managing a large technology infrastructure consisting of several thousand RedHat Linux servers.
The analyst will work with a team that is responsible for design and implementation of technology solutions that directly support Corporate Treasury and Bank of America as a whole.
In-Depth Experience with RedHat Linux operating systems and application configuration/management.
Strong organization and communication skills and a general coding/scripting understanding.
This position will share in an after-hours On-Call rotation.
Required Qualifications:
5-10 years UNIX/LINUX Operating system expertise
NAS Storage experience
Advanced level of network understanding such as DNS, IP Routing, Network Layers & Protocols
Strong desire to learn and adopt new technologies
Proven successto work well in a cooperative, time-sensitive, market-driven environment
Strong organizational skillsto manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Proven successto work individually and with the group on complex problem solving
Analytical skills, critical thinking and a strong desire to learn
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with traditional SQL or distributed databases such as Oracle/MS SQL or Vertica
Computer Science Degree
Experience with Netapp
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organization levels
Experience with Agile project methodologies
Experience with UNIX/LINUX software development in languages such as Perl/Python
Experience using Source Code and Version Control systems like SVN, Git, etc.
Experience working with platform technologies like Nagios, Spark, Hadoop, Docker
