You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance and control, as well as continuous improvement of a portfolio of processes.

The Process Lead is responsible for developing, evaluating, and executing a portfolio of optimization projects that will support major strategic changes within the organization.

In this position, the person will provide thought leadership and facilitate complex and comprehensive cross-functional initiatives consistent with Truist's objectives. The person is responsible for the execution of corresponding business process quality control plans and change initiatives. Additionally, this individual will interface with executive leadership and senior operations process and production leaders, as well as key business partners within technology, risk, lines of business, etc., to help shape process strategies for assigned services and operationalize changes.

In this position, the person must be able to work at the strategic level (defining optimization opportunities) and at the tactical level (analyzing data, solving problems, and working with teams for implementation).

If a member of the Process Center or Excellence, then the individual in this role may also mentor and instruct teammates across the enterprise in the application of Business Process Management and associated tools or applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute high-impact/complex cross-functional projects to improve processes, including leadership of major initiatives and providing direction to establish functions critical to successful operations including in-depth analysis of issues and requirements, governance plans, peer research, process design and documentation, leadership on system and technical solutions, facilitation across internal departments and functions, and communications and change management strategies.

  • Process Design: Design, develop, and/or modify a process strategy in support of LOB business and product goals as well as specific organizational objectives to support client outcomes in alignment with business requirements. Engagement should deliver higher quality client outcomes and better team member experiences.

  • Process Development: Develop/construct process workflows for assigned processes leveraging design mapping/blueprint to support deployment into production environment. Development will include appropriate people, process, and technology components.

  • Process Improvement: Leverage assessments of process performance outcomes to highlight opportunities for improvement in cycle times, process quality, production throughput, resource utilization, and total cost of delivery.

  • Process Implementation: Develop and manage implementation plans to support roll-out of people, process, technology changes into production environment for all assigned processes.

  • Process Management & Control: Leverage measures, metrics, SLA's and process engineering assessment and control approaches/tools to determine if assigned processes are performing as designed and within established expectations/tolerances.

  • Responsible for ensuring improvement initiatives are tied to a measurable goal and that savings are confirmed. Measure and monitor return on investment (ROI) of process improvement projects to ensure organizational efficiency and profitability.

  • Provide the appropriate reporting to facilitate communication with regulatory governing bodies and Audit to ensure understanding of the organization's strategic direction and to provide periodic briefings/status updates.

  • Coaches / mentors multiple design teams in six sigma or related process tools. Educates and guides in the application of Business Process Management and associated tools or applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; or related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

  • 15+ years of financial services experience, focused in back-office operations or related activity for Retail/Consumer products and services.

  • Minimum 5 years Lean Six Sigma experience with a minimum of 7-10 years relevant operational continuous improvement experience.

  • Experience defining and delivering large-scale initiatives in financial services or transactional-based processes.

  • Proven ability to use research and data analytics to diagnose problems, recommend action plans to resolve issues, and drive business decisions.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams with or without formal authority.

  • Ability to communicate, educate, advocate, and negotiate for transformation and critical process change initiatives at all levels of the enterprise, with a focus on senior and executive levels.

  • Equal enthusiasm for high-level strategic planning and tactical daily execution.

  • Comfortable managing concurrent projects in a fast paced, results-driven environment. Strong results orientation, which includes meeting commitments, performance metrics and required delivery dates.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, leading work autonomously, and making independent decisions.

  • Excellent skills in presentation, facilitation, communication, conflict management and negotiation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; banking or financial management education.

  • Certified Master Black Belt.

  • Certified Project Management Professional.

  • SAFe Lean Portfolio Management Certification
