Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, organized, results-oriented Tax Analyst in The Woodlands, Texas. This professional self-starter will join the Tax team and participate in the full cycle of direct tax from quarterly tax provisions and estimated tax payments to income tax return filings.

Primary Responsibilities
Preparation of quarterly federal and state estimated tax liabilities
Preparation of annual federal and state tax return extension requests
Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns
Assist with addressing IRS and State Revenue Agency notices
Keep informed of tax laws, regulations, and rulings
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Accounting
1 - 2 years of tax compliance preparation experience
CPA is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills in MS Office and OneSource tax software experience
