JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for Operations and Maintenance of Alabama Power owned facilities and assets in the Western Division footprint. Responsibilities include the repair and preventive maintenance for building infrastructure, grounds, access control systems, security systems, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etc. needed to provide safe and productive work environments. This technician will need to be self-motivated and be able to operate and work within the most critical areas and operate equipment that serves these areas. This job will be located in the Western Division - Tuscaloosa, AL.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Current State of Alabama HVAC License strongly preferred
The maintenance technician position requires general experience & knowledge in HVAC & Controls, Electrical, and/or Plumbing
Vast knowledge of the following:
Commercial /industrial electrical maintenance, repair, and installation
Electronic and pneumatic controls, equipment and systems maintenance, repair, and installation
Hydraulic equipment and systems maintenance, repair, and installation
HVAC systems maintenance, repair, and installation
Codes, i.e., NEC, OSHA, Building and Plumbing
Plumbing and pipefitting
Required and contingent for the position within first 60 days of employment:
NERC CIP Certified
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain, repair, modify and install equipment and systems to maintain a comfortable environment for customers.
Perform general inspections and preventive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with national/local codes and regulations, to provide a safe, reliable work environment.
Maintain/clean equipment rooms, related equipment, and panels.
Maintain facility plumbing systems, sewage pumps and sump pumps
