Job Duties:
Technical lead for developing, optimizing, validating, and performing advanced diagnostic laboratory tests (ADLT) using Next-generation Sequencing (NGS) platforms and orthogonal genomic based methodologies (50%).
Co-ordinate with clinical team and biopharma for technology transfer of newly validated assays including devising SOPs for clinical and biopharma use (20%).
Maintain strong cross-functional support and relationships with other teams including but not limited to, clinical, biopharma, bioinformatics, software development, IT, vendors, and executive leadership (10%).
Effectively present and communicate the outcomes of new product validations as well as troubleshooting studies to the broader team and support peer-review publications. (10%).
Devise and execute training, where appropriate, to develop and elevate the technical skills within the team (5%).
May supervise or participate in the technical training of new staff and students in the laboratory (5%).
Education & Experience:
Minimum - Master's degree in Biological Sciences (i.e. Molecular Genetics, Biology, Biotechnology, Medical Technology) and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time professional clinical or research experience in a laboratory.
Preferred - PhD degree in Biological Sciences (i.e. Molecular Genetics, Biology, Biotechnology, Medical Technology) and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time professional clinical or research experience in a laboratory.
Proficient in analytical thinking, planning, troubleshooting, time management and delegation.
Pay Range: $68,000 - $72,000
