We are looking for a highly experienced operational mission support lead for two of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center flagship missions. Candidate will be working in a fast paced, dynamic environment supporting both Ice, Cloud, and Land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) and Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) missions. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to monitoring weekly mission Science Planning, working closely with in-house team and outside Ground System element teams to integrate all planning products in the Satellite Activity Timeline, complete understanding of constraint requirements and actions to be taken to ensure safety of the instrument, as well as, managing operations coverage 7 days a week. Candidate must have over 10 years of management experience and be highly motivated to work simultaneously on two NASA missions.
Required Skills/Qualifications
BS in engineering, physics, mathematics and related STEM field
UNIX Shell Scripting, Perl, MATLAB programming experience
Ability to communicate with customers and team members, both verbally and written
Ability to work independently and on small, fast-paced, highly motivated teams
Good judgment and relationship management
Ability to track detailed assignments and ensure timely delivery
Ability to work independently, quickly, efficiently and accurately in a dynamic and fluid environment
Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
