Serco Inc is continuing to grow and looking for Top Talent to join the Finance team as a Senior Project Control Analyst supporting Serco. You will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of performance on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. You will be key member of the program team and work directly with the Program Manager to help define the project's goals and objectives; and recommend actions to improve progress and performance. You will have significant interface with Program/Project Managers, senior technical staff, as well as other functional organizations including contracts, finance, accounts receivable, subcontract management and procurement. The selected individual will consistently demonstrate high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new information. The successful candidate will have a strong program control background with experience in a task order driven environment.

As a leader within the program finance team, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of operational finance for their supported programs. This position positively affects company performance and ensures the team consistently and accurately meets internal and external deliverables.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Responsible for providing lead level financial support to Program Managers in the preparation and analysis of complex project financial data, monthly rolling P&L forecast, and other complex contract, project, or business-related task.

  • Responsible for the management of the finance employees involved in program control and analysis.

  • Responsible for the employment, training, motivation, and discipline of assigned employees.

  • Responsible for timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of monthly P&L forecast

  • Support the monthly business rhythms of both the program and finance organizations, including participating in and supporting meetings and program reviews.

  • Directs, implements, and administers formal aspects of program control for their team in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and government regulations.

  • Provide cost, schedule and funding planning, reporting, monitoring and analysis support to Program Managers including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and development of time-phased budgets/EACs and schedules.

  • Support accounts receivable as required during the billing processing. Monitor billing status and unbilled issues, working with Finance, Contracts, Accounting and PMO to resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Oversee preparation of subcontractor and vendor accruals as services/goods are received in accordance with GAAP and internal policies to ensure that the projects cost/commitment is accurately captured and reported internally and externally.

  • Provide oversight of finance inputs for project set up and revenue recognition in compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and requirements.

  • Analyze profit risks and opportunities and advise management on the optimal path forward.

  • Liaison between operations and other administrative support organizations on financial issues.

  • Interfaces with subcontractors, vendors, and customers as required.

  • Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principles. Must be versed in various contract vehicles, i.e., CPAF, CPFF, LOE, FPLOE, FFP, T&M, IDIQs, etc. Preferred knowledge of FAR/DFAR, DCAA compliance

Qualifications

To be successful you will have:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.

  • 8 or more years of progressive experience in related field.

  • Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel Required.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team with a focus on high professional standards, strong follow-up, and successful project execution.

  • US Citizenship required
