Application Developer Supervisor

DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for the implementation of low-code/no-code technology offerings, comprising platform architecture and configuration, appropriate patterns, best practices, customization and development. The low-code platform of focus will be MS Power Apps, with some exploration of low code solutions such as Out Systems. The position will also draw on skills and experience gained from full-stack software development in Microsoft technologies - Visual Studio C#, .NET Core, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The work will be focused on designing, implementing, and delivering no-code/low-code platform capabilities for use in the enterprise. To excel, you'll need extensive understanding of Microsoft Power Apps, previous experience implementing enterprise platforms, a strategic mindset, strong collaboration skills, and enterprise architecture knowledge.
It is preferred that the candidate has knowledge and experience with no-code/low-code systems, architectures, and design patterns. The position is also expected to ensure all software development projects adhere to Southern Company's Application Development guidelines and meet and/or exceed quality expectations. The developer/architect should be an excellent troubleshooter and a self-starter.
Job Responsibilities:
Effectively collaborate to appropriately design and deliver enterprise software platforms
Develop and/or implement timely, cost-effective, and high-quality business software solutions to meet customer needs, using approved methodologies and standards
Apply professional oral and written communication skills; apply strong customer service skills; exhibit initiative; follow through with customer commitments, and apply sound performance techniques
Support project planning by providing accurate estimates and status reports and by meeting deliverables
Manage personal career development by maintaining technical expertise
Job Requirements :
Experience and expertise with MS Power Apps
Knowledge and understanding in the domain of low-code/no-code solutions
Expert knowledge of application architectures (Web, Client Server, Cloud, Integration, Databases, etc.)
Knowledge and understanding of software development technologies, methodology and associated tools
Knowledge of C# and the .NET framework
N-tier application architecture experience using the .NET platform
Candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to demonstrate application design principles
Competencies
Mature understanding of enterprise software platform design, implementation, and delivery
Significant knowledge of the following:
Microsoft Power Apps
Out Systems
Well-versed in the development of governance models, platform support models, and software roll-out planning
Ability to design and communicate enterprise level solutions
Highly conversant in enterprise application design principles
Ability to function independently and as a team member - willingness to operate as a member of a productive, well-integrated team
Proven analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn new technologies and apply them
Knowledge of the following software development technologies:
Microsoft C# .NET, .NET Core
JavaScript JQuery
REST
PowerShell is a plus
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college with a concentration in computer science or a related field
At least 6 years of full-stack development experience in Visual Studio C#
Extensive experience in enterprise platform architecture
Extensive experience with development technologies, methodologies, and associated tools
Extensive experience with application architecture
Experience
At least 2 years in the Microsoft Power Platform, with a focus on Power Apps
At least 5 years of experience working with enterprise software architecture
At least 2 year of Experience as a software platform administrator
At least 7 years of full-stack software development experience in Microsoft technologies
