Responsible for organizing a series of work into a single portfolio consisting of reports that capture project objectives, costs, timelines, accomplishments, resources, risks and other critical factors for project delivery and budget forecasting on a short, medium and long term basis.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead Star performance and portfolio strategy planning, prioritization and implementation for special needs plan (SNP) members.

  • Partner closely with SNP Product /P&L lead to align on strategic priorities that will serve SNP members and drive overall Star performance across member and patient experience, clinical engagement, and operational performance.

  • Establishes SNP Star program governance to assure response to issue escalation; develops program budget and ensures program meets its stated objectives.

  • Provides subject matter expertise in response to day-to-day business issues; researches applicable best practices; and remains aware of industry trends.

  • Manages relationships and partners with SNP product, corporate and regional business areas.

  • Develops documentation to support meeting presentations and the tracking and reporting of the SNP program's success.

  • Provide strategic direction for aligning a specific organizations project plan of record and annual goal objectives with annual operating budget by specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identifying risks, contingency plans, identification of budget and achieving long-term and short-term financial objectives with the primary goal of ensuring that ROI thresholds are met.

  • Coordinates portfolio and project activities of the business unit and develops relationships with the business.

  • Manages execution of portfolio objectives and interacts closely with end users, business technologists and others to prioritize business needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years broad based project management experience designing low to medium complex project portfolios; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • 3 years experience spent leading and directing multiple project tasks strongly preferred. Experience with Governing Process Life Cycle strongly preferred.

  • Multiple trade certifications or other continuing education strongly preferred.

  • Accounting/Financial management background strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree

  • Experience in Medicare, Medicare Star, health plan operations, or healthcare quality improvement

  • Quality Improvement Certifications preferred
