We are seeking a Principal, HR Business Partner - Manufacturing to support the Operations facilities within Space & Airborne Systems. This is both a strategic and hands-on role providing full cycle HR support covering over ~2000 geographically dispersed employees. This position reports to the Director, HR, Operations, with a forward facing role to the Operations Leadership Team. The preferred location for this position is any large production facility within Space and Airborne Systems (i.e. Palm Bay, FL, Rochester, NY, Amityville,NY, etc.); however, the largest concentration of Operations employees and leaders is in Palm Bay/Malabar, FL. The workplace designation for this role is onsite with ad hoc telework flexibility. 25-30% Travel Required.
Essential Functions:
Job responsibilities include:
Partner with executives, leaders, and employee teams to pro-actively address the human capital objectives and needs of the business to include talent acquisition, selection, development, compensation planning, employee relations, organization effectiveness, change leadership, employee engagement & retention and communication.
Coach business leaders, facilitate organizational change, understand and apply knowledge of all HR functions as well as the application of HR principles and employment law.
Working knowledge of the client area's strategic plans and initiatives to provide value added recommendations. Deliver HR leadership and support to facilitate meeting business and strategic growth objectives.
Capable of leveraging market trends and data analysis to make recommendations and implement actions for continuous improvement.
Ability to improve HR processes by leading and/or participating on project teams focused on driving greater efficiency and effectiveness within the business
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources management or related field plus 12 years' experience Or Master's Degree and 10 years' experience holding positions of increasing responsibility working as a HR Business partner in a matrixed environment, including coaching, change management, and organizational development.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience as an HR Business Partner supporting a highly technical workforce in the Aerospace & Defense Industry.
Results oriented, proactive and resourceful; High level of integrity; ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and to organize workload to assure that short timelines are met given frequent interruptions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and self-initiative - has a track record on delivering commitments.
Ability to influence, coach and consult with all levels of the organization in a positive and effective manner
Ability and willingness to travel to sites as needed
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $98,500.00 - $183,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
