If you want to work on a cutting edge Air Force program, Serco has a great opportunity for you! As a Senior Training Systems Engineer, you will be supporting the B-21 Strike Systems Division (AFLCMC/WBS) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

The B-21 Raider is the future backbone of the nation's bomber force, holding any target at risk and providing lethal penetrating deep-strike capability. You will be part of the DoD's benchmark acquisition team, providing bold and innovative solutions in aircrew and maintenance training systems by working with Air Force Global Strike Command, the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office, the prime contractor, and subcontractors.

In this role, you will:

  • Utilize your knowledge and expertise with aircraft training systems by applying the systems engineering process, requirements analysis, system design process, system integration, Development & Operational Test, Risk Management Framework, and Authority-to-Operate processes

  • Support requirements development, allocation, and verification

  • Provide technical management oversight of simulator systems, subsystems, and components during prime contractor development

  • Support prime contractor systems engineering technical reviews to include assessing entrance and exit criteria for each review

  • Develop technical and business data necessary to build and present program briefs and technical reports

  • Support program meetings, working groups, and business reviews

  • Develop contract request-for-proposal documents and conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals

  • Employ technical risk management principles to assess and mitigate program risks

  • Develop and review of the full range of program documentation

  • Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies make recommendations for corrective actions.

  • Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • A SECRET security clearance with Background Investigation within the last six years or on Continuous Evaluation. Ability to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP) access and apply for a TOP SECRET clearance

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  • 10-12 years training / simulator systems experience in relevant DoD acquisition programs

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • TOP SECRET security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility and background investigation current within the past 6 years or on Continuous Evaluation

  • Master's Degree in Engineering

  • Five years of electrical engineering / avionics engineering experience as a Department of Defense (DoD) civilian or DoD contractor in an acquisition program

  • Two years SAP experience accrued within the last four years
