Responsibilities
Define an architectural vision and architecture for large complex solutions, which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices.
Describe the solution intent and the associated operating environment.
Determine the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces and define non-functional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features and expand into new opportunities.
Ensure the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
Evaluate the impact of strategic design decisions.
Contribute to best practices, standard templates, and the architecture roadmap for defined domains.
Design and develop cloud architectures and support migration to modern tech stacks using OpenShift, Azure, Terraform, and Splunk.
Design and deliver new features and functionalities using micro services architecture in Java, .NET, and Python using Free and Open-Source frameworks.
Evaluate and recommend fit-for-purpose API management solutions including API Gateways and Service Mesh.
Drive middleware and integration strategies with MuleSoft, JBoss, WebSphere, Spring, Kafka and MQ to build scalable and resilient systems.
Design and develop new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets using Apache Spark, Big Data, REST, NoSQL, and Quarkus.
Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related; and
5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
Designing and developing cloud architectures and supporting migration to modern tech stacks using OpenShift, Azure, Terraform, and Splunk;
