The ED, Enterprise Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs and Initiatives is responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, leading, and implementing USAA's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) talent enterprise programs and initiatives. This executive partners with USAA's Diversity and Inclusion Business Groups; with primary responsibility leading the career development and programs; expands and enhances enterprise DE&I learning and development opportunities internally; creates and cultivates USAA's strategic DE&I partnerships focused on employees; embeds and integrates USAA into important DE&I conferences; supports USAA's participation in key DE&I-related community events; supports the CEO DE&I Council; uses data-driven insights to refine USAA's enterprise talent DE&I strategy and is a strong thought partner and thought leader on how to enhance cross-functional DE&I partnership and collaboration for employees. The ED oversees the CoSA DE&I consultants to strengthen the CoSA DE&I working teams and serves as the primary EMG-level partner for Human Resources, including talent development, talent acquisition, people analytics, total rewards, strategic workforce planning, employee relations and Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action (EEO/AA). A key role on the DE&I team, this executive influences changes in culture, business practices and work environment through effective contribution to people plans.
The Opportunity
What you'll do:
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
Leads coordination, planning, and execution of employee DE&I-sponsored major events; career-focused events led by DBGs and other employee groups across multiple campuses and integration of USAA personnel into key DE&I-related conferences and learning development opportunities.
Partners with DE&I office on calendar of DE&I events annually and integrates into enterprise events calendar; ensures alignment with long term goals and plan; facilitates rollup of accomplishments by business and location for short-term and long-term reports and measures.
Serves as a strong thought partner and thought leader on employee DE&I.
Creates and cultivates internal and external talent-focused DE&I strategic partnerships.
Demonstrates subject-matter expertise in matters related to DE&I talent strategy; identifies opportunities to support and educate the enterprise on DE&I best practices; partners with DE&I consultants to educate and influence employee and campus DE&I groups on matters pertinent to current issues and best practices; oversees the collection of data and best practices from DE&I working groups as well as external sources to advise key stakeholders on policies and practices; manages special DE&I projects.
Evolves and enhances existing DE&I learning platform and on-going educational resources to facilitate the advancement of D&I learning across the organization, drives cultural competence, and fosters a culture of inclusion, while maintaining compliance with laws and regulations.
Identifies overarching DE&I themes that need to be addressed across the organization, proposes solutions, and manages through execution.
Stays abreast of regulatory and policy developments and industry best practices affecting DE&I, affirmative action, and EEO.
Partners with HR People Insights on DE&I reporting and analysis for the enterprise to demonstrate status and progress against DE&I goals and strategy.
Builds and oversees a team of professionals through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching and support, performance management, and managerial activities.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development or Human Capital Consulting with a minimum of 5 years leading comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion programs for large organizations.
4+ years of people leadership experience in building, managing, and/or developing high-performing teams.
Proven experience developing and managing complex enterprise programs/projects.
Demonstrated experience managing and/or working with employee resource groups or diversity councils.
Demonstrated experience with change management.
Experience implementing DE&I learning/educational programs for large organizations.

Significant responsibility for strategy, execution, ROI, metrics and reporting of diversity aspirational goals for a large, complex organization.
Demonstrated accomplishments in leading operations in talent acquisition, development, and/or retention programs.
Demonstrated accomplishments as a trusted consultant and advisor to senior executives in closing gaps in enterprise diversity.
Deep experience evaluating total rewards programs and employee life cycle development models to drive improvements in enterprise equity.
Military engagement experience.
Compensation:
USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $136,600 - $245,900.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executive level roles only, representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based.
