Summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking skilled, knowledgeable, and highly motivatedMAGTAF Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS) Coordinatorfor the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE)-Program in support of the Joint Staff J7 (JS J7) Deputy Director Joint Training (DD JT).

Background

One of the key components of the JTSE is the Joint, Live, Virtual, Constructive (JLVC) simulation federation, a combination of Service, Agency, functional, and management applications linked to enable operations and data exchange between simulations regardless of their computing platforms.

The Systems Engineer works with engineering teams in taking a multi-discipline approach to requirements documentation, scheduling, reliability and resiliency testing, and providing input for services development, integration testing across the JLVC federation.

  • Participate in the following: planning process, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, development of procedures (and documentation of problems) for existing systems and review M&S capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.

  • Installing, configuring, operating, troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining MTWS.

  • This position requires experience with integration of government-purchased simulation support hardware/software at government training sites.

  • Assist the customer in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements into M&S systems, capabilities, and solutions.

  • Assist the customer in performing systems integration activities.

  • Conduct analysis of alternatives (AoAs), course of actions (CoAs), and engineering assessments.

  • Provide input to the government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.

Skills and Experience

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical fields or four years of relevant experience.

Required skills:

  • Knowledgeable of distributed simulation protocols/High Level Architecture communication technologies in support of remote operations conducted at various selected sites.

  • Demonstrated experience with systems engineering lifecycle.

  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences effectively.

  • Experience with common enterprise network service implementations and network architecture principles.

  • Experience with Information Assurance principles and policies.

  • Active Secret clearance.

Desired:

  • Familiar in deploying, maintaining, and leveraging sophisticated Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems to provide leadership with Common Operational Picture (COP) and real-time situational awareness.

  • Understanding on USMC staff level training and its enablers.

  • Basic understanding of M&S capabilities to include Joint and Service models: JCATS, MTWS, WARSIM, JSAF.

  • Basic understanding of C4I inject point stimulation to portray a COP and real-time situational awareness.

  • Understanding of data flows within C4I systems and networks is a huge plus.
