Data Sales Executive
The Data Sales Executive (DSE) is responsible for selling company data products into a defined market. Core responsibilities include presenting the suite of products and services in the Southern Linc data solution portfolio. The candidate will be responsible for both acquisition and retention of subscriber accounts in their territory. This position will work closely with the Market Sales Executives, Market Area Sales Managers, Public Sector Account Managers, Public Sector Sales Executives and other Data Sales Team members i.e... Sales Operations, Engineering and Customer Solutions Teams.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to sell and market all data products in the Southern Linc portfolio
Supporting Southern Linc Sales Team's with use case development, sales calls, data solution training for fixed and mobile products and services, and data demos
Support the indirect channel of distribution for data sales
Perform onboarding and offboarding activities for customers, including scheduling meetings and demos either onsite or remote
Maintain an active sales forecast utilizing reporting tools
Understand market trends, develop strategic sales goals, and coordinate activities to increase sales
Ability to effectively articulate technical issues with vendors, leaders, and stakeholders with the ability influence decisions
Provide input to design, testing, and deployment of products and services
Assist in the installation and support of data products
Support the data services of all new devices
Participate as an active member of the Steering Committee
Support installations, configurations, and setup for all data solutions when needed
Assist the Customer Solution Center with trouble shooting data sales
Travel throughout Alabama, and Southeast Mississippi as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required
5 years working in sales or business development capacity
Experience selling fixed & mobile data products and services directly to the end user
Prior experience in standard modem communication
Selling and support experience in local and state government; or utility and large commercial sales
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
Excellent oral and written communications skills are required
Good working knowledge of wireless communications
Experience presenting technology solutions and proposals to internal and external audiences
Ability to travel up to 60% as needed, with some overnight travel required
