Responsibilities:
Ensure the integrity of customer statements. Review and post payment and charge batches prepared by customer service staff, run and review month end billing error reports, review sample billing invoices before invoices are sent to customers.
Review and approve monthly arrears billing daily.
Oversee the collections process for the district, delegate collections expectations to customer service staff, and communicate results.
Must enjoy problem solving and process improvement.
Directly manage, mentor and train billing/AR specialists.
Ability to answer phones and assist customers in a professional manner.
Approach all encounters with employees, customers and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Assist with the development and implementation of reporting procedures.
Other duties assigned as needed.
Demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems including Route Manager Online and Tableau.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree preferred
3 years directly related management/supervisor billing experience
Management/Supervisor experience preferred
Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
Audit customer accounts as needed
Organizing and coordinating skills
Knowledge of accounting procedures
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of management principles and practices
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
