Warewash Division Description:
The Warewash Division of the Food Equipment Group is seeking a Buyer for its Troy Plant in Troy, OH facility, located 20 minutes north of the Dayton metropolitan area. The Warewash Division produces Hobart, Stero, and Somat branded commercial dishwashers and waste equipment for use in hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, cruise ships, schools and universities and retail.
The division drives growth of its business through sales strategies, a pipeline of new product development (NPD) and through enhanced customer facing approaches to enhance our competitive advantage. Division goals also include attracting and retaining the best talent reflective of our local and global communities.
Summary:
The position is responsible for the procurement of specialized items, analyzing the market and negotiating contracts for the Warewash Division. This position reports to the Strategic Sourcing/Supply Chain Manager and will carry out company sourcing policies and programs in relation to the procurement of all necessary items in the manufacture of warewash equipment.
The successful candidate will interface and work cross-functionally with manufacturing and engineering and will explore and source vendors to supply required materials for our manufacturing processes. The candidate will be responsible for negotiating contracts, contract set-up and will have excellent project management skills. Additionally, performing analysis of supplier performance and negotiations of pricing and delivery of materials and setting up vendor managed inventory are responsibilities of this role.
What you will do:
Set up and maintain the procurement and delivery arrangements for the materials needed to meet production requirements
Ensures cost-effective procurement arrangements are in place for both internal and external customers and suppliers
Performs complex vendor negotiations and contract set-up
Performs analysis of supplier performance
Initiates corrective actions with suppliers
Provides initiatives to support sourcing savings and cost avoidances
