SAIC is currently seeking a Senior Training Specialist to support the Medusa Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) Support and Sustainment (Medusa) Team based in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate must be detailed oriented, highly organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The Medusa Team supports the United States Air Force C-sUAS programs worldwide.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide instruction to Students (may include active duty military, base Security Force Protection personnel, & Field Service Engineers (FSEs) relating to the installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of a C-sUAS System of Systems
Primary duty location is Huntsville, Alabama with routine travel to various CONUS locations (possibility to travel to OCONUS sites)
Maintains and updates student training records
Develops, prepares and updates Program course content, lesson plans, training materials, training aids, and videos
Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of Training Materials, to include exams, exercises, and videos
Review training materials (i.e. training aids, videos) drafts for format, clarity and overall cohesiveness
Standardize content across all training delivery platforms (e.g., print, video, web-based)
Ensure all Training Materials documentation is stored in document repository under version control
Administer tests to evaluate and certify students on the Task Performance Checklist (TPC)
Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflects product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date

Required Skills:
DoD training delivery/facilitation experience
Successfully completed an approved DoD Instructor Training Course or other equivalent, preferably with experience as a United States Air Force Instructor is strongly preferred.
Have the ability to develop/modify training materials
Possess excellent grammar and writing skills
Strong presentation skills
Possess strong organizational skills
Able to work independently and efficiently with short term deadlines
Able to manage time and multiple priorities;
Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Familiarity with conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams).
Desired Skills:
It is preferred that Training Instructors have prior experience with Counter UAS/sUAS operations, air defense operations, or base defense operations; Familiar with United States Air Force organization, hierarchy, and rank structure.
Familiarity with computers, switches, routers, Internet Protocol (IP) addressing, network topologies, and troubleshooting procedures.
